Privacy Policy

Sudoku — Numzles · Last updated: May 24, 2026

Short version: Sudoku — Numzles does not collect, store, or share any personal data. No account is required. No tracking. Ever.

1. Who we are

Sudoku — Numzles ("the app", "we", "our") is an independent iOS application developed and published under the Numzles brand (numzles.com). You can contact us at support@numzles.com.

2. Data we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

No account or sign-in is required to use the app.

3. Data stored on your device

All game data — saved puzzles, settings, solve times, and statistics — is stored exclusively in your device's local storage (Apple's UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly back up your device to iCloud or your computer via Finder (or iTunes on older systems), in which case it is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy.

The daily puzzle queue is excluded from iCloud backups; it is regenerated automatically on launch.

4. Apple Game Center

If you choose to connect to Apple Game Center, your Game Center nickname and leaderboard scores may be visible to other Game Center users through Apple's platform. This is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not receive or store your Apple ID, Game Center profile, or any personal information associated with your Game Center account.

Game Center is entirely optional. The app functions fully without it.

5. Apple MetricKit (on-device diagnostics)

The app subscribes to Apple's MetricKit framework to receive aggregate, on-device performance diagnostics (crash reports, hang rates, launch times). This data:

No MetricKit data is transmitted to us or stored outside your device.

6. Third-party SDKs and advertising

Current version (v1.0): The app does not contain any third-party analytics SDKs or advertising networks. The only external frameworks used are Apple's own system frameworks (SwiftUI, MetricKit, GameKit), which are covered by Apple's Privacy Policy.

Future versions: We may introduce optional, opt-in rewarded advertising (for example, watching a short ad in exchange for an in-game hint). If and when this feature is added:

We will notify users of any material change to this section via a prominent notice inside the app prior to the update taking effect.

7. Children's privacy

The app is rated 4+ on the App Store. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. Because we collect no personal data at all, the app is safe for use by children and complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar regulations.

8. Your rights

Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. All local data (settings, statistics, saved games) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the app from your device. In-app statistics can also be reset via Settings → Reset All Statistics.

If you are a resident of the European Economic Area, California, or another jurisdiction with specific data-rights laws, please be assured that this policy means those rights are fully satisfied by default: we hold no data about you.

9. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the app handles data, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. For any material change that involves collecting personal data, we will provide prominent notice inside the app before the change takes effect. We do not anticipate such changes.
